What is the difference between porn and an appreciation of human sexuality? A hard question to answer considering each culture develops a unique set of sexual standards particular to their traditional belief system. Furthermore, each individual will set his or her own standards for what they believe is acceptable and unacceptable according to one’s own life experience. This portion of the Perfect 8 magazine does not provide an answer to this question. Instead it asks that people consider the question. The centerfold of each issue offers an alternative to porn and an objectified sexuality. Each Centerfold is a presentation of a complete person, revealing not only the body, but also the mind, the heart, and the soul. By portraying images of de-objectified persons, an empathetic and holistic depiction of sexuality, (i.e. antiporn,) is made accessible.
